10th March 2018:

Lovely stay in a beautiful location. Unfortunately didn’t get to meet the owners, but communication was excellent via email. Updates regarding the weather were great. Appreciated the options given to us, with regard to this. Could do with a better mirror outside the bathroom as unable obviously to use hairdryers in the bathroom, and small mirror, not suitable. Shower is very problematic especially if you are a ‘large’ person, as the door has a very limited opening. Settee uncomfortable. Requires more kitchen utensils, large slotted spoon, and large spoon.

Tips:

Visited Ross, Monmouth, Gloucester Quays and Hay-on-Wye. Lots of coffee shops. Didn’t eat out in the evening. WiFi very erratic. More times without it than with it. Shower not suitable for ‘large’ persons.

30th September 2017:

What beautiful accommodation with everything you could possibly need for a comfortable, relaxing stay in a wonderful location. The kitchen is well equipped if you want to cook, the super king size bed is comfortable with beautiful cotton sheets and the shower is a powerful one. We would definitely return for another stay and cannot recommend it enough.

Tips:

The location is brilliant with Herefordshire, Monmouthshire, The Forest of Dean and Wye Valley being very accessible within a matter of minutes. There are 2 local pubs and we particularly liked The Hostelerie which is a 15 minute walk way. The menu there is varied and reasonably priced. Definitely worth a visit.

Owners are close by if required but respect your privacy. We didn't meet Liz but we had a nice chat with John who was very amiable

Tips:

Activities such as walking and cycling are literally on your doorstep and canoeing on the River Wye is just a short drive to the various hire facilities. Many lovely gardens are easy to find as are various castles and places of interest.

10th October 2016:

A lovely well maintained and comfortable property, with all the amenities to ensure a lovely holiday.

Tips:

The property is well situated to ensure access to all the walks and views that the Wye Valley has to offer. The Hostelerie serves a wide range of excellent dishes and even if you have not booked a table the will do their best to fit you in.

Extremely amiable and helpful but not intrusive. Felt you genuinely wanted us to enjoy our stay - we did!

Tips:

Goodrich is a great location with easy access round and about. There is something for everyone. Good pubs, great walks both flat and strenuous, bird watching, animal watching, historic castles, houses, gardens, spectacular scenery. The list is endless really.
