28th February 2018:

Very friendly and helpful. Cottages are well equipped, comfortable and spotless. Great location.

Tips:

Symonds Yat Rock (a reasonable walk away) is a must - the view is stunning. There's plenty to do in Symonds Yat East & West villages with a ferry across the Wye joining the two. Be warned, it's a bit of a climb back up to the car park at the rock! Puzzlewood is fascinating (no dogs allowed though) and Goodrich Castle is awesome - both are a short drive away. There's a great pub (The New Inn) a few minutes walk from the cottages. Good food and beer, roaring fire (in February at least), dogs, muddy boots and children welcome. Speaking of boots, take some (or wellies). This is not trainers / sandals territory.

4th June 2016:

Lovely accommodation. Surprisingly spacious, with separate lounge. It was very homely and Katie and Charles were very welcoming and obviously put great effort into making the whole place attractive. Really enjoyed the pottery session as well!!

Tips:

Very attractive tea room on site and pottery. If you are using the forest a lot the Forestry Commission offers a yearly pass which gives free parking and discounts on activities. 'Krazy Golf' at Tauris Crafts, Lydney is reasonably priced and is good entertainment for teenage families with pool, air hockey, table football and table tennis all included in the price. Good staff.
